April

Welcome to April.

Your challenge this month is a recipe.  Choose three of the following ingredients and include them in your project:

  • Ribbon
  • 4 Buttons
  • Ink or mist
  • Floral Patterned Paper
  • Stencil
  • Paperclip
  • Green

There will be a small prize this month of a mystery packet of paper flowers for a winner drawn at random after the closing date of 29th April 2014. Entry is via the inlinkz button below this post and closes at 23:55 GMT on 29th April 2014.

Here is what our lovely design team have created:

I made an A5 card using various ingredients from the recipe (buttons, patterned paper, green, paperclip, ribbon). I used a combination of real stitching (for the flowers) and faux stitching (for the paper) My flowers were made from a white t shirt my son discarded, I coloured it with SoSoft fabric paint from DecoArt, then added the button and sewed the edges and leaf veins.

Hi you all ! For my page I used; 4 buttons, mist and a stencil, the color green and lace(instead of ribbon). Let's see which receipe you will use ;-) ofcourse I used one of the lovely selfmade flowers from the Craft Garden !

For this months creation I have used one of my new Bebunni stamps. From the recipe list I have used, ribbon, floral design papers, 2 paperclips & the colour green. I hope you will join in with our recipe fun!

I instantly chose to use a stencil and mist from the recipe list, and then picked my third choice, ribbon, as I created the card.  I love how the Perfect Pearls Mist has a sort of ombre effect on the background.  I inked the paper with Distress Ink first to get some color down so there wouldn't be white space.

For my project this month, I created an Asian Button Box. The drawer part of the box is made from part of a recycled cereal box wile the outside and the part that wraps around the drawer is made from a recycled Dove soap box. The items I used from the recipe list are the color Green, the see through ribbon on the top left corner of my box, my buttons are inside the drawer, a gold decorative paper clip, floral patterned paper on the square directly under the Asian Postage design, and orange pigment ink as direct to paper around the edges in various places. The only thing on the list I didn’t use was a stencil because there seemed to be enough going on with my box without it.

I've decided to create an art journal page this month.
I've used the stencil, inks and mists for my background ... then on the image, I've added a dress from floral pattern paper and added 4 little green buttons to her dress! :)
